Namah Shivaya Yoga was founded by Yoga Acharya Tej ( E-RYT 500 ) who was born and raised in India and trained with the Sivananda Yoga Tradition in Rishikesh and Uttarkashi in the Himalayas. He created this unique Teacher Training program which brings the authentic practices and teachings of yoga as practiced in India for thousands of years.

Namah Shivaya brings you an authentic and in depth Teacher Training program nestled in the tranquil and scenic holy city of Uttarkashi in the Himalayas.The Teacher Training program is based on the principles of Hatha yoga practice, suitable for beginners and intermediate students. The program includes asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), meditation, chanting mantras, yoga philosophy, and shat kriyas (cleansing practices to purify physical and mental body).
Who can Join ?
Students are required to have a basic practice of yoga postures. The program is designed to improve their own personal practice.
It is not necessary to have any prior knowledge of yoga philosophy as students will be immersed in an in depth study of philosophy
during the 4 week program.
Yoga Alliance Certification
Namah Shivaya is a Yoga Alliance Registered School for 200 and 300 Hours Teacher Training programs. On completion
of the course, students will receive a Graduation Certificate which will be a Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training.
The program will be conducted at the Yoga Shala in Uttarkashi in the scenic Himalayas. Uttarkashi is located about 170 kms north of
the holy city of Rishikesh. Students will arrive in New Delhi, Indiaand transportation will be arranged from New Delhi to Uttarkashi via private taxi.
